Welcome To Our Fun Fly Day..

Today Thorne Model Club celebrated its 25th Anniversary of flying at thorne.

for this  great  occasion we held a fun fly day at the field for our members to come and show there skills in flying. We would like to thank all the people that came and took part, the turn out was great and the weather was very good as well on the day and we all had a good day.

We held a competition for our members to have fun and challenge there skills in flying.

We had 3 events which was (climb and guide , touch and go, on the spot landing) out of this we had 9 members that took part all gave it there best, at the end of the competition, we had a 1st place, tie for 2nd, (Ian and Craig tied for 2nd place).

So Ian and Craig took the challenge of doing a fly off which was, (take off and do the limbo as many time as they can in 2 min's ) see  who would come 2nd. The end result was so close to each other, but Craig just piped Ian to the post for 2nd place,
